El jueves por la tarde, al terminar de trabajar puse rumbo a Llangennith, para pasar tres dias en su maravillosa playa.
On Thursday afternoon, when I finished working I set off for Llangennith, to spend three days on its wonderful beach.

Esta vez volví con Judith, Rowan, un amigo de este y Alfie, uno de los perros de la familia. Al igual que los años anteriores, nos hospedamos en el Bed & Breakfast Red House de Llangennith.
This time I went back with Judith, Rowan, a friend of him and Alfie, one of the dogs of the family. As in previous years, we stayed at the Red House Bed & Breakfast in Llangennith.

El viernes decidimos hacer la andada hasta el Worm’s Head, el magnífico peñón que domina toda la playa de Llangenith - Rhossili Bay, localizado en una isla solo accesible con marea baja.
On Friday we decided to walk to the Worm's Head, the magnificent rock that dominates the entire beach of Llangenith - Rhossili Bay, located on an island only accessible when the tide is gone.

En torno a las 9:30 pusimos rumbo a Rhossili, el pueblo que se encuentra al otro lado de la gran playa, decidimos coger el sendero que va sobre las colinas, para poder disfrutar de las vistas de la bahía, pero desafortunadamente la niebla hizo acto de presencia durante todo el día.
At about 9:30 we headed to Rhossili, the village located on the other side of the big beach, we decided to take the path that goes over the hills, to enjoy the views of the bay, but unfortunately it was very foggy during the whole day.

Al llegar a Rhossili empezó a llover, por lo que decidimos parar en la cafetería a tomar un café y de paso dar tiempo a que la marea descendiera un poquito más.
Arriving to Rhossili it started to rain, so we decided to stop at the cafe for a coffee, also we needed to wait a little longer for the low tide.

Cuando la lluvia amainó decidimos continuar hasta los acantilados, donde descubrí nuevas rutas de escalada que van desde mitad hasta arriba de los acantilados.
When the rain stopped we continued to the cliffs area, where I discovered new rock climbing routes that go from halfway to the top of the cliffs.

Una vez dejamos atrás los acantilados llegamos a la zona de mar y la isla, donde el camino se complica un poquito ya que el sendero contiene 2 zonas de rocas que requieren de un poco de habilidad para superarlas, ademas llegar a la cima hay un sencillo trepe de unos 10m.
Once we left behind the cliffs we arrived to the sea area and the island, where the path gets a bit more complicated since the path contains 2 rocky areas that require a bit of skill to pass through them, also to reach to the top there is an easy climb of about 10m.

En el camino de vuelta decidimos parar en el pub Helvetia de Rhossili, para bebernos una pinta de Worm’s Head una cerveza de la casa.
On the way back we decided to stop at the Helvetia pub in Rhossili, to drink a pint of Worm's Head a homemade beer.

Con el deposito lleno de nuevo decidimos volver por la playa, haciendo una última parada en los restos del barco naufragado Helvetia.
Once we "filled up the tank" we decided to return by the beach, making a last stop in the wreck of the wrecked ship Helvetia.

Paul es un fiel seguidor del Chesterfield, así que el principal motivo por el que habíamos ido a Chesterfield no era ir con la bicicleta, era ir a ver el partido Chesterfield United vs Mansfield Town, un derby con todas las letras, ya que ambas localidades se encuentran a 20km de distancia.
Paul is a loyal Chesterfield fan, so the main reason of the trip to Chesterfield was not to go with the bike, it was to go to watch the match Chesterfield United vs Mansfield Town, a derby in so many words, since both locations are 20km away each other.

El derby presentaba un aliciente aun mayor, debido a que ambos equipos debían ganar sí o sí. Chesterfield, último en la clasificación necesitaba la victoria para seguir luchando por la salvación, mientras que para Mansfield era un 2x1, puesto que los 3 puntos le permitían seguir luchando por el playoff de ascenso y además dejaba prácticamente sentenciado al Chesterfield.
The derby had an even greater incentive, because both teams had to win at any cost. Chesterfield, were in last position on the table, so they needed the victory to continue fighting for staying in the division, while for Mansfield was a 2x1, because the 3 points allowed them to continue fighting for the promotion playoff and also left Chesterfield practically sentenced to relegation.

Aunque el partido era a la 1 del mediodía, a las 9:30 nos dirigimos al estadio, ya que con la entrada venían incluidos el almuerzo y un pequeño tour por el estadio. The Proact no es un estadio muy grande, puesto que capacidad para 10.500 personas, pero me gustó bastante.
Although the game was at 1pm, we went to the stadium at 9:30am, because the ticket included lunch and a small stadium tour. The Proact Stadium is not a big stadium, so its capacity is 10,500 people, but I quiet liked it.

El partido estuvo muy igualado durante los 90 minutos, habiendo ocasiones para los 2 equipos. Aunque ninguno de ellos se mereció el gol y lo mas justo hubiera sido un 0-0, pero en el minuto 67 Malvind Benning consiguió el único gol del partido tras un tiro suyo que rebotó en un defensa y se fue para dentro.

The game was very equal during the 90 minutes, with chances for both teams. Although none of them deserved score and the fairest score would have been a 0-0, Malvind Benning, in 67 minute, scored the only goal of the game, thanks that his shot reflected on a defender and went in.

Tras el partido nos fuimos a tomar unas cervezas por el centro de Chesterfield, permitiéndome ver la iglesia de St Mary and All Saints.
After the game we went to town to have a few beers, allowing me to see the church of St Mary and All Saints.

A las 8:30 de la mañana puse rumbo hacia Peak District junto a Paul, un amigo y líder del grupo de bicicleta que pertenezco.
At 8:30am I headed to Peak District with Paul, a friend and leader of the bike group that I belong.

En torno a las 11:30 llegamos a Chesterfield, una pequeña ciudad del condado de Derbyshire, de la que su monumento más conocido es la iglesia de St Mary and All Saints, debido a que su cúpula en espiral esta torcida.
At about 11:30am we arrived to Chesterfield, a small town in the county of Derbyshire, of which its most famous monument is the church of St Mary and All Saints, because its spiral dome is crooked.

Tras cambiarnos decidimos ir a hacer un poco de bicicleta por el Peak District National Park.
After getting changed we decided to go for a ride in the Peak District National Park.

Como yo nunca había estado en Peak District, Paul decidió llevarme a Bakewell, el pequeño pueblo de unos 3000 habitantes famoso por sus Bakewell Pudding, un pequeño pastel.
As I had never been in the Peak District, Paul decided to take me to Bakewell, a small town of about 3,000 residents famous for its Bakewell Pudding, a small cake.

Tras Bakewell fuimos a ver la Chatsworth House, una gran mansión rodeada por hectáreas de jardines y bosques.
After Bakewell we went to see the Chatsworth House, a huge mansion surrounded by acres of gardens and forests.

Una vez visitada la Chatsworth House, pusimos rumbo de vuelta a Chesterfield para evitar la hora punta.
After visiting the Chatsworth House, we rode back to Chesterfield to avoid rush hour.

Para terminar decidimos tomarnos una cerveza Ale de la zona en el bar del hostal.
To finish we decided to have a beer Ale from the area in the bar of the hostel.

Candanchú, Huesca, España

El jueves 8 no pudimos esquiar, ya que yo tenía que realizar por la mañana unas gestiones en Zaragoza. Por la tarde aterrizó Grady, un amigo ingles que venía a esquiar un par de días.
On Thursday 8 we could not ski, because I had to make some arrangements in the morning in Zaragoza. In the afternoon Grady arrived, an English friend who came to spend a couple of days with us.

El viernes 9 pusimos rumbo a Candanchú, ya que teníamos que gastar los bonos 2x1 que ofertaba la cerveza Ambar.
On Friday 9th we headed to Candanchú, because we had to spend the 2x1 bonus tickets that the Ambar beer offered.

En torno a las 9 llegamos a las pistas, y tras ponernos el material nos dirigimos a la zona del Tobazo, desafortunadamente, en seguida nos dimos cuenta de que la calidad de la nieve no era la que debería, ya que debido a que no había hecho frio estaba muy húmeda y pegajosa, por lo que los esquís no avanzaban.
At about 9am we arrived to the resort, we put the skiing stuff on and we went to the Tobazo area, unluckily, soon we realized that the quality of the snow was not what it should be, because it had not been cold and the snow was very wet and sticky, so the skis did not move properly.

Tras descender el Tobazo unas cuantas veces, nos dirigimos a la zona de Tortiellas para coger la silla que lleva a la Tuca, ya que creíamos que al ser una zona más alta la calidad de la nieve estaría mejor, aunque no fue así.
After doing a few descents in the Tobazo, we went to Tortiellas area, to take the chair lift to the Tuca, because we thought that being a higher area the quality of the snow was going to be better, but it was not like that.

Una vez realizamos un par de veces las bajadas de la Tuca nos dirigimos de nuevo al Tobazo, para esquiar por la pista Pastores.
Once we skied the tuca a couple times, we went to the Tobazo again, to skied down the Pastores run.

En torno a las 2 se puso a llover por lo que dimos por terminada la semana de esquí.
Around 2pm it started to rain so we decided to end the skiing week.

En nuestro último, día de esquí en Cerler, decidí ascender al pico Cerler, me gustaría haber intentado un pico más alto, pero hacía mucho viento y el riesgo de avalancha era muy alto, así que haber intentando un pico de más altura habría sido bastante peligroso.
In our last skiing day in Cerler, I decided to attemp the climb to Cerler peak, I would like had climbed a higher peak , but it was very windy and the risk of avalanche was very high, so attempting a higher peak would had been very dangerous.

A las 9 de la mañana comencé las ascensión desde el aparcamiento del Molino, seguí la ruta “Skimo 1” hasta Cota 2000. En Cota 2000 continué mi ascensión tomando la pista negra Muidors. Una vez llegué a donde comienza Muidors giré a la izquierda y encaré la última pala del pico hasta la cima.
At 9am I started the ascent from the Molino car park, I followed the route "Skimo 1" until Cota 2000. In Cota 2000 I continued the ascent taking the black run Muidors. Once I got to where Muidors begins, I turned left and faced the last hill of the peak to the top.

Tras hacer cima, descendí a Ampriu y me uní a mi padre y mi tio para pasar el resto del día esquiando en las pistas.
When I left the summit, I descended to Ampriu and joined my father and uncle to spend the rest of the day skiing on the slopes.
