En nuestro último día en el país norteamericano, lo primero que hicimos fue ir a tomar un buen desayuno a The Templeton una cafetería típica americana, decorada con postales antiguas y viejos tocadiscos traga monedas. La calidad y cantidad del menú es muy buena, y a un buen precio.

In our last day in the North American country, the first thing we did was go to have breakfast to The Templeton, a typical American cafe, decorated with old postcards and jukebox. The quality and quantity of the menu was very good, and also a good price.

Tras desayunar decidimos ir a dar una vuelta por Vancouver. Empezamos yendo a Canada Place para desde allí dirigirnos a Stanley Park, donde caminamos los casi 9 km del Seawall, el paseo marítimo que rodea el parque a lo largo de la costa.

After breakfast, we decided to go for a walk around Vancouver. We started going to Canada Place, from there we went to Stanley Park, where we walked the almost 5.5 miles of the Seawall, the promenade that surrounds the park along the coast.

Luego volvimos al Canadá Place, que es el punto donde llegan los cruceros a Vancouver, para continuar hasta Gastown, una de las zonas más populares de la ciudad, donde realizamos las últimas compras de regalos que nos faltaban, este lugar está lleno de restaurantes y bares, cuya atracción principal es el “Steam clock”, un reloj de vapor.

After the walk, we returned to Canada Place, which is the place where the cruise ships arrive to Vancouver, to continue to Gastown, one of the most popular areas of the city, where we bought the last gifts we needed to buy, this area is full of restaurants and bars, but the main attraction is the "Steam clock".

Después nos dirigimos a Waterfront Station, donde tomamos el SeaBus, para pasar a North Vancouver, y visitar el mercardillo Lonsdale Quay Market.

Afterwards we go to Waterfront Station, where we take the SeaBus, to go to North Vancouver, and visit the Lonsdale Quay Market.

Al volver a Vancouver decidimos ir a un bar a tomar una a merienda cena en un bar en el que dieran baloncesto.

When we returned to the city center we decided to go to have dinner to a bar where basketball was on.

Al día siguiente desayunamos en el hotel, y como el vuelo para España no salía hasta las 14:30 horas, aprovechamos para dar un paseo por el centro. Para ir al aeropuerto tomamos la Canadá Line, que conecta Vancouver, Richmond y el Aeropuerto Internacional de Vancouver.

The next day we had breakfast at the hotel, as the flight to Spain was not until 2:30 p.m., we went for a walk to the city center. To go to the airport we took the Canada Line, which connects Vancouver, Richmond and the Vancouver International Airport.

Rogers Arena, Vancouver, British Columbia , Canadá

Después de haber estado seis días en la estación de Whistler - Blackcomb esquiando, nos fuimos a la ciudad de Vancouver, para esquiar un día en las pistas de la bahía.
After spending six days at Whistler - Blackcomb Ski Resort, we went to Vancouver to ski one day on the bay runs.

A las 3 de la tarde llegamos a Vancouver, decidimos ir a dar una vuelta por Canadá Place, para preguntar en la oficina de turismo si se podía esquiar al día siguiente en Grouse Mountain, pero nos dijeron que con el calor que estaba haciendo no nos lo recomendaban, ya que la nieve estaba en muy malas condiciones, 19ºC en marzo.
At 3pm we arrived to Vancouver, we decided to go for a walk around Canada Place, to ask at the tourist office if we could go skiing the next day to Grouse Mountain, but they told us that they didn´t recommended it to us because it was very hot and the snow was in very bad conditionsy bad conditions, 19ºC in March.

A las 18 horas fuimos al estadio Rogers Arena, para presenciar el partido de la NHL, Vancouver Canucks vs Ottawa Senators.
Al 6pm we headed to Rogers Arena to watch the NHL game Vancouver Canucks vs Ottawa Senators.

El estadio tiene capacidad para 18.910 y una visibilidad muy buena desde cualquier parte del campo, de hecho, pensábamos que como ocurre en televisión, no íbamos a ver la pastilla, pero nos pudimos ver el partido perfectamente y sin ningún problema.
The arena has capacity for 18,910 and a very good visibility from any part of the stands, in fact, we thought that as it happens on TV, we would not be able to see the puck, but we could watch the game perfectly and without any problem.

El partido no tuvo mucha historia, ya que Vancouver dominó durante las 2 primeros periodos, aunque en último periodo una gran remontada de Ottawa hizo que hubiera emoción hasta el final. El resultado fue Vancouver Canucks 7 - 4 Ottawa Senators.

The game did not have much history, since Vancouver dominated during the first two periods, although in the last period a great comeback from Ottawa made it exciting until the end. The score was Vancouver Canucks 7 - 4 Ottawa Senators.

Whistler - Blackcomb, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canadá

Como siempre hemos esquiado en Europa, este año decidimos cambiar e ir a Canadá, concretamente a Whistler - Blackcomb en la Columbia Británica. Para el viaje contactamos con Esqui Whistler, los cuales nos organizaron todo, apartamento, forfait, alquiler de esquís, y traslados desde el aeropuerto de Vancouver.
We have always skied in Europe, but this year we decided to change and go to Canada, specifically to Whistler - Blackcomb in British Columbia. For the trip we contacted Esqui Whistler, a company that organized everything, apartment, ski pass, ski rental, and transfers from Vancouver airport.

Salimos el jueves 14 de marzo desde Barcelona a Ámsterdam, donde tras esperar varias horas salimos con destino a Vancouver. El vuelo a Vancouver duró unas 10 horas, al llegar al aeropuerto nos estaban esperando para llevarnos a Whistler.
On Thursday March 14 we flew from Barcelona to Amsterdam, where we had to wait for several hours for the flight to Vancouver. The flight to Vancouver lasted about 10 hours, when we arrived to the airport they were waiting for us to take us to Whistler.

Nos hospedamos en el edificio Le Chamois en BlackComb, un apartamento excelente a 20 metros del telesilla, bares, supermercado, y de la tienda de alquiler de esquís.
We stayed in Le Chamois building in BlackComb, an excellent apartment located from the chairlift, bars, supermarket, and the ski rental shop.

Whistler - Blackcomb es la estación más grande de América, cuenta con 8.100 hectáreas de terreno, más de 200 pistas, de las cuales 110 son rojas y 55 negras esparcidas en 2 valles unidos mediante el teleférico, ellos le llaman gondola, “Peak to Peak”.
Whistler - Blackcomb is the biggest skiing resort in America, it has 8.100 hectares of land, more than 200 runs, of which 110 are red and 55 black scattered in 2 valleys joined by the cable car, they call it gondola, "Peak to Peak".

El primer día, la climatología no era muy buena, estaba nublado y con niebla. Tras desayunar y recoger los esquís, decidimos quedarnos a esquiar en la zona de BlackComb, por pistas entre pinos, ya que la visibilidad por momentos no era muy buena.
The first day, the weather was not very good, it was cloudy and foggy. After breakfast and pick up the skis, we decided to stay skiing in BlackComb mountain, on the runs between pines, since the visibility at times was not very good.

El segundo día también salió nublado, pero conforme avanzó la mañana terminó por despejar, por lo que aprovechamos para esquiar en los dos valles e ir a ver el Black Tusk (Colmillo Negro), el pico más representativo de la zona.
The second day was also cloudy, but as the morning progressed it ended up clearing, so we took the opportunity to ski in the two valleys and go to see the Black Tusk (Black Fang), the most representative peak in the area.

Los siguientes días el tiempo fue excelente, por lo que recorrimos todas las pistas del resort, destacando el descenso del glaciar Blackcomb que va a parar a la pista Glacier road, la In the spirit, una pista negra que bajas esquivando los pinos y la Whistler bowl, una pista negra que baja de la cima del pico Lookout en Whistler.
The following days the weather was excellent, so we skied all the runs of the resort, highlighting the descent of the Blackcomb Glacier that ends up on the Glacier road run, the In the spirit, a black run in the woods in which you have to miss the pines and the Whistler bowl, a black run from the top of Lookout Peak in Whistler.
