Ascent to Mt La Raca Peak (2.284 m) on Touring Skis, Astún, Huesca, Spain

A las 9 de la mañana mi padre Eduardo y yo llegamos a la estación de esquí Astún.
At 9 am my dad Eduardo and me arrived to Astún Ski Resort.

Hacía mucha niebla pero decidimos hacer algo de ejercicio subiendo al pico de La Raca por las pistas de esquí de Astún.
It was such a foggy day, but we decided to do some exercise anyway, and ascend to the peak La Raca by the ski slopes of Astún.

Comenzamos la subida por la pista de Pastores, hasta la cafetería, y desde allí, subimos por el tubo de la Raca de la derecha, para afrontar luego las últimas rampas hasta la cima.
We started the climb in the run Pastores, in which we were until the Coffee shop. From the cafe we went rightwards to the tube, afterwards we faced the last slope to the top.

Tras desayunar, pusimos rumbo al valle de Bohí en Cataluña, concretamente a la estación de esquí Boí Taüll.

After breakfast, we set course to Bohí valley in Cataluña, concretely to Boí Taüll skiing resort.

Boí Taüll es una pequeña estación que consta de 10 pistas verdes, 7 azules, 26 rojas y 9 negras, algunas con desniveles de hasta 750 metros.

Boí taüll has for 10 green slopes, 7 blue ones, 26 red ones y 9 black ones, some of them are 750 meters long.

Empezamos esquiando en la zona de Pic de Ginibrell (2310 m), más tarde nos dirigimos a la zona de Puig Falcó (2751 m), donde alcanza su cota máxima. El resto del día lo pasamos en las negras de Balcó de Cerví (2520 m).

We began in Pic de Ginibrell area (2310 m), later we headed to Puig Falcó área (2751 m), where it reaches its highest point. We spent the rest of the day on the black slopes from Balcó de Cerví (2520 m).

Como conclusión diré que, pese a no ser una estación muy grande. Nos gustó mucho, y lo recomendamos.

As a conclusion, I would like to say that even though it is not a massive skiing resort. We liked it a lot, and we highly recommend it.

Skiing in Cerler, Spain

Teníamos reservado un viaje a los Alpes, pero debido al Coronavirus tuvimos que cancelarlo, por lo que para no perder la semana, decidimos ir a esquiar a Cerler unos de días.
We had booked a skiing trip to the Alps, unfortunately due to the Coronavirus, the whole trip got cancelled, as we did not want to waste the week,  we decided to go to Cerler for a couple days. 

Ambos días, en torno a las 9 de la mañana aparcamos en el aparcamiento del Molino, tras ponernos el material nos dirigimos a Cota 2000, para coger el telesilla “Sarrau” y dirigirnos a la zona de Ampriu, decidimos pasar la mañana en las zonas más alejadas, porque hay menos gente por la mañana
Both days, around 9am we parked at the Molino car park, after putting out stuff on we headed to Cota 2000, where we took the chairlift "Sarrau", to go to the Ampriu area, so we had decided to spend the morning in the further areas, because there are fewer people there in the morning.

En torno a las 12 parábamos a comer, para aprovechar que a medio día la gente para a comer.
At 12 pm we had lunch as in Spain people have lunch later so there would be fewer people on the slopes at lunch time.

Por la tarde nos estuvimos en la zona del Gallinero y del collado de Ampriu, donde alternamos bajadas por uno y otro.
In the afternoon we were in the areas of the Gallinero and Ampriu, where we alternated descents.

Vía Directa a la Aguja Olvidada, Las Torcas de Chodes, Morata de Jalón, España

Straight to La Aguja Olvidada (The Forgotten Neddle), Torcas de Chodes, Morata de Jalón, Spain

Una vez más pongo rumbo junto a Vicky y Diego a Morata, para realizar vía “Directa a la Aguja Olvidada”, abierta por Jesús Yarza, Javier Ortega y Javier Vera.

Once again. Morata with Vicky and Diego and me headed to Morata, to rock climb the route “Directa a la Aguja Olvidada” (Straight to the Forgotten Neddle), opened by Jesús Yarza, Javier Ortega y Javier Vera.
La vía de 50 metros, consta de 2 largos, y está totalmente equipada con parabolt.
It is a 50 meters long route, divided in 2 pitches, completely belayed with bolts.

Reseña / Route:  

Largo 1 (30 m, V): Buenos agarres, reunión justo debajo del techo.
1st Pitch (30 m, V): There are good holds, belay station is just below the roof.

Largo 2 (18 m, V+): El techo es el paso clave de la vía, ya que está desplomado, hay un parabolt arriba por si se quiere pasar en artificial. Después del techo suaviza.
2nd Pitch (18 m, V+): The roof is the crux of the route, it is overhung, there is a bolt above to aid climb. Once climbed the roof it gets easier.

Descenso: Por la parte de atras, siguiendo la sirga de seguridad.
Descent: From the back, following the safety line
