Ascento to Mt Estremere (2.128 m), Portalet, French Border

Aparcamos en el aparcamiento de Portalet en Formigal. Nos pusimos los esquís al lado de la rotonda y pusimos rumbo Este en dirección al Puerto Viejo de Sallent, desde donde comenzamos el ascenso hacia el pico Estrémère.

We parked at the Portalet car park in Formigal. We put our skies on next to the roundabout and headed East , towards the Old Pass of Sallent, from where we started the climb to Mt Estremere.

El ascenso fue bastante suave, debido a que la nieve establa bastante blanda y que las palas no tienen mucha pendiente. En la cima sopla algo de viento, por lo que decidimos bajar al collado para quitar pieles.
The ascent was quiet easy, mainly because of the quality of the snow, it was quiet soft, and the hills are not very steep. On the summit, it was quiet windy, so we decided to take the ski skins off on the mountainside. 

El descenso al principio es con nieve húmeda pero se deja esquiar bastante bien, conforme vamos descendiendo el estado de la nieve empeora, estando muy pesada y bastante mala de esquiar, sobretodo en los giros.
At the beginning of descent, there was on wet snow but it was quite "skiable", but as we were going down the quality was getting worse and worse, being very heavy and slushy on the lower areas, making really hard to carve.
