Praia do Meco - Cabo de Espichel - Sesimbra, Lisboa, Portugal

Aunque había dejado Reino Unido el mes pasado, decidí ir a pasar una semana de vacaciones a Portugal con la familia Abbott, mi otra familia.
Although I had left UK the month before, I decided to go on holiday to Portugal with the Abbott family, as I considered them my another family

Nos hospedamos en Aldeia do Meco, un pequeño pueblo localizado al sur de Lisboa, que contiene una gran playa salvaje con su mismo nombre.
We stayed in Aldeia do Meco, a little village located to tle South of Lisbon, which has a fantastic wild beach.

En nuestro primer día decidimos andar hasta la playa y pasar unas horas haciendo surf en esta, lamentablemente no había olas, por lo que nos quedamos con las ganas, pasando el resto de la mañana en la pequeña ría del Lago de Albufeira.
On our first day, we decided to walk to the beach to do some surfing, unfortunately there were no waves, so we spend the morning in the little estuary of the Albufeira lake.

Por la tarde, Judith y yo decidimos ir a visitar los alrededores, poniendo rumbo al Cabo de Espichel, cuyas principales atracciones de interés turístico son el santuario de Nossa Senhora da Pedra Mua, el Faro de Cabo Espichel y en uno de sus acantilados unos pocos restos y huellas de dinosaurios.
In the afternoon, Judith and me decided to go to visit the surrounding area, so we headed to Cabo de Espichel (Espichel cape), where the most touristic attractions are the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Espichel Cape,also known as Nossa Senhora da Pedra Mua, the light house and the dinosaur footprints located on the jagged cliffs.

Tras el cabo, nos dirigimos a Sesimbra, donde visitamos el castillo. El castillo fue una de las primeras victorias cristianas en la reconquista sobre los moros en el Siglo XII, su posición era un punto estratégico importante.
After the cape, we headed to Sesimbra, where we visit the castle. The castle was one of the first victories for the Christian conquest of Portugal over the Moors in the 12th century and its strategic positioning was important for the defence of early Portugal

Tras visitar el cabo, fuimos a cenar a Praia do Meco.
After visiting the cape, we went to have dinner to Praia do Meco beach.
