Via Ferrata Barragem de Santa Luzia, Vale Grande, Portugal

La última ferrata que realizamos fue la de Barragem de Santa Luzia.
The last ferrata we did was Barragem de Santa Luzia.

Nivel (Level): K4/5

Localización (Location): Barragem de Santa Luzia (Embalse de Santa Luzia)

La vía se encuentra en una de la pared rocosa localizada a la derecha de la presa, por lo que aparcamos en el pequeño parking situado en la curva justo en frente de la presa.

No hay apenas aproximación, pero para llegar al inicio de la ferrata hay que cruzar un riachuelo. Aunque hay un par de piedras para poder cruzar sin problemas, dependiendo del caudal puede que haya que descalzarse.
The ferrata is located on the right rocky wall of the dam, so we parked at the small car park located at the bend in from of the dam.
It is a 2 minutes walk from the car park, but to get to the beginning it is necessary to cross a small river, there a couple big stones to do it, but depending on the flow you might need to take your shoes off.

Descripción (Description): De largo la ferrata más difícil de las tres. A pesar de no ser una vía de mucha dificultad, está muy bien equipada y asegurada, es muy mantenida y requiere tener un buen estado de forma, debido a que esta desplomada casi en su totalidad.  
With no doubt the hardest one. Even though it is not very difficult, and it is well belayed and secured, it is quite tough and it requires a good level of fitness, as it is overhung almost the whole time.

Contiene 5 muros verticales, desplomados y bastante mantenidos en los que habrá que tirar bastante de brazo. Una vez en la parte de arriba del embalse solo quedará seguir la sirga por el sendero hasta el mirador del embalse de Santa Luzia
It has 5 vertical, quite overhung and long enough walls on which you will only be able to use your arms. Once on top of the dam you just need to follow the saftey line un til the point view of Santa Luzia's dam

Vía Ferrata Caminho sobre o Oceano Orvícico, Castelo Branco, Portugal

La segunda ferrata que realizamos fue Caminho sobre o Oceano Ordovicíco, la ferrata con mejores vistas.
The second ferrata we climbed was Caminho sobre o Oceano Ordovicíco, the one with the best view.

Nivel (Level): K3

Localización (Location): Parque eólico situado en la carretera N238, en el segmento entre Estreito y Sarnadas de São Simão (Wind farm located in the road N238, in the segment between Estreito y Sarnadas de São Simão)

Una vez en la N238 hay que localizar, la señal azul de campo eólico y tomar una pista forestal durante 1.5 km hasta llegar al aparcamiento.
Once on the N238 you need to find the wind farm's new sign and taking the track for about 1.5 km (1 mile) until the car park.

Tras aparcar en el parking, seguir el GR que llevara hasta el inicio de la ferrata.
After parking the car follow the GR (Long distance path) until the beginning of the ferrata.

Descripción (Description): Vía muy bien diseñada y bastante divertida gracias a su diversidad, alterna subidas y bajadas, partes verticales y con más tumbadas. Destaca una placa vertical casi al final de la vía. Termina en la cima del macizo, permitiendo una preciosa vista de 180 grados.
Via ferrata well designed and enjoyable thanks to its variety, it alterns ups and downs, steep areas with more lied ones. it stands out a vertical slab almost at the end of the via. It ends on the summit of the hill, offering a fantastic 180º view of all around.

La bajada se realiza por el GR que sale desde la cima hasta el aparcamiento.

Vía Ferrata Da Penha, Castelo de Vide, Portugal

En nuestro cuarto día en Portugal, nos desplazamos a la zona interior del pais, con el objetivo de ir a hacer las diferentes vías ferratas del pais.

On our fourth day in Portugal, we moved to the interior of the country, with the aim of doing the three ferratas that the country has.

La primera que realizamos fue la Ferrata Da Penha, en Castelo de Vide.

The first we did was the via ferrata Da Penha, in Castelo de Vide.

Nivel (Level): K1

Localización (Location): Ermita de Nossa Senhora da Penha, Castelo de Vide (Ermita means Hermitage)

La ferrata se encuentra justo debajo de la ermita que domina el pueblo, por lo que justo antes de llegar al pueblo, hay que tomar el cruce hacia la Ermita de Nossa Senhora da Penha (De N246-1 a EM1008), y aparcar en el aparcamiento situado junto a la ermita.
The via ferrata is just below the hermitage that stands high above the village, so to get there it is necessary to turn right at the juntion to Nossa Senhora da Penha hermitage just before the village (From N246-1 to EM1008), and park at the car park located next to the hermitage.

Para llegar a la ferrata hay que tomar la senda que sube a la ermita, pero justo antes de empezar a ascender las escaleras, tomaremos una senda que sale a su derecha siguiendo unos puntos amarillos en descenso, lo más recomendable es colocarse junto a la pared de roca y seguirla hasta el inicio de la vía ferrata, porque está muy mal marcado.
To get to the ferrata we took the path that goes to hermitage but just before the stairs got the new path on the right with yellow signs. I recommend to stay next to the rocky wall and carry on next to it all the time until you reach to the beginning of via ferrata, because it is not well signed

Descripción (Description): Ferrata corta, muy fácil y perfecta para iniciación, no presenta ninguna dificultad, al final de la vía tiene un pequeño desplome fácil de superar. Termina justo en la ermita.

Descenso desde la ermita hasta el aparcamiento por la escalera dejada a la izquierda al ir a coger la vía.
It is a short and really easy Ferrata, perfect for beginners. It is not challeging at all. Almost at the end, it has an small overhang easily climbable. It ends at the hermitage.
Descend to the car park, following the stairs left on the left at the beginning.

Praia da Marinha, Lagoa, Algarve, Portugal

En nuestro con el tercer día en el país luso decidimos ir al Argarve, famosa zona del sur de Portugal, concretamente a la Praia da Marinha en el municipio de Lagoa, porque es considerada una de las playas más bonitas de Europa debido a la forma de sus acantilados de roca caliza.

On our third day in the lusitanian country we decide to go to the Algarve, the popular area in the South of Portugal, in particular to Praia da Marinha in Lagoa, as it is one of the most beautiful Beaches in Europe, because of the incredible shape of its cliffs.

Al llegar allí decidimos ir a dar una vuelta por la parte de arriba para disfrutar de las vistas de los acantilados de la zona.
When we got there we decide to go for a walk on top of the cliffs, to enjoy thge view of the cliffs there.

Debido al calor que hacía decidimos pasar la tarde bañandonos en la playa, por cierto, el agua estaba helada.
Due to the fact that it was a really hot day we decide to spend the afternoon in the beach located below de cliffs.
