En torno a las 9:30 aparcamos en el parking de la Tejería, para dirigirnos a la Peña Predicadera a escalar la vía Psikoterapia.

At about 9:30am, we parked at La Tejeria car park, as we were heading to Peña Predicadera to rock climb the route Psikoterapia.

Aproximación: Desde el aparcamiento, tomar la pista de la derecha y seguirla hasta llegar a un cruce a la derecha que lleva a la peña Predicadera. Nada más llegar al bosque, hay un pequeño camino que asciende por la colina, y lleva a 2 secciones de cuerda fija. Tras ascender por la cuerda, seguir los mojones hasta la base de la pared.

Access: From the car park, take the track on the right and follow it until reaching a junction, turn right to get to the path that takes to Peña Predicadera. Just after getting into the forest, turn left, taking the small path that goes uphill, stay in it following the boundary markers until reaching 2 sections of permanent ropes. After having climbed the last rope follow the boundary markers until the base of the wall.

Vía / Route:

Largo 1 (50 metros, IV+): Largo de placa que no presenta mucha dificultad.

1st Pitch (50 meters, IV+): Not very difficult slab pitch.

Largo 2 (35 metros, V): Empieza en una placa que lleva a una bonita chimenea con buenos agarres. Reunión justo después de la chimenea.

2nd Pitch (35 meters, V): It starts on a slab that leads to a nice chimney with good holds. Anchor just after the chimney.  

Largo 3 (35 metros, 6a): El largo más difícil y expuesto. Empieza en una pared vertical con agarres muy pequeños, se puede acerar (6a, V+/A0). Una vez superada la parte inicial hay buenos agarres en el borde izquierdo de la pared. Tras la pared de 6a, la vía continúa ascendiendo en travesía pasando de una canal a otra, parte bastante expuesta que se puede evitar subiendo al espolón y tomando la parte final del largo de la vía Jabalí Errante. Reunión justo debajo del gran techo.

3rd Pitch (35 meters, 6a): The hardest and most exposed pitch of the route.  It begins on a vertical wall with very little holds, it can be aid climbed (6a, V+/A0). Once climbed the first section of the wall, there are good holds on the left edge of the wall. After the 6a’s wall, the route carries on climbing up in traverse going from one water groove to the next one, this stretch is quite exposed, so it can be missed climbing to the buttress and using the last part of the pitch from the route “El Jabali Errante”. Belay station located under the big roof.

Largo 4 (25 metros, IV): Caminar por debajo del techo y después subir la última pared para llegar a cima 

4th Pitch (25 meters, IV): Walk carefully under the roof and afterwards climb the last wall to get to the summit.

Descenso: Siguiendo los mojones de la cima que llevan al sendero localizado en la barranquera que desciende hasta el camino principal.

Descent: Following the boundary markers on the summit that lead to the path located in the scree that goes down to the main track.

En torno a las 9 de la mañana Diego, Eduardo y yo ponemos rumbo a la Peña Predicadera, para escalar la vía “Espolón Guanchinfú”.

Around 9am Diego, Eduardo and me headed to Peña Predicadera, to rock climb the route “Espolón Guanchinfú” (Guanchinfú Buttress).

Reseña / Route:

Largo 1 (25 m, 8 seg., III): Placa tumbada de roca compacta muy adherente.

1st Pitch (25 m, 8 bolts, III): Lied slab with compact rock and good holds. 

Largo 2 (30 m, 5 seg., 4b): Seguir por una amplia placa y un muro separados por una zona intermedia más tumbada.

2nd Pitch (30 m, 5 bolts, 4b): It continues on a wide slab and a wall separated by a more lying down intermediate área.

Largo 3 (30 m, 5 seg., 4b): Travesía ascendente hacia la izquierda. Reunión a la izquierda, después de pasar la torrentera.

3rd Pitch (30 m, 5 bolts, 4b): Ascending traverse towards the left. Belay station located on the left, after passing a ribs.

Largo 4 (35 m, 6 seg., 4c): Empieza en una canal vertical con buenas presas, tras pasar un tramo tumbado entra en otra canal pequeña, muy vertical, pero con buenas presas, es el paso difícil de largo.

4th Pitch (35 m, 6 bolts, 4c): It starts in a vertical groove with good holds, after passing a lying down area there is another groove, which is very vertical but with good holds, this groove is the crux of the route.

Largo 5 (30 m, 9 seg., 5b): Comienza por una placa, para luego continuar por un ancho canalizo-chimenea, seguido de un murete-techito (seguros muy cerca). Subir un poco y meterse en un canalizo que queda a la izquierda. Hay un par de pasos finos, es el tramo difícil del largo, luego se va tumbando hasta llegar a la reunión.

5th Pitch (30 m, 9 bolts, 5b): It begins in a groove, to continue in a chimney following by a bulge, (the bolts are very close from each other). After going up a little bit there is a new groove on the left. There are a couple hard steps, it is the hardest step in the pitch, after that it lies down smoothly.

Largo 6 (20 m, 4 seg., 5c): Placa tumbada al comienzo, haciendo una corta travesía a la izquierda, finaliza en una canal-chimenea vertical bien protegida.

6th Pitch (20 m, 4 bolts, 5c): Lying down slab that goes in traverse to the left, it ends in a chimney very well belayed.

Eduardo Teba y yo ponemos rumbo a la Peña Predicadera, para escalar la vía “Felisín”.

Reseña / Route:

Largo 1 (40 m, 6 seg., 4b): Gran placa de roca compacta al comienzo, algo tumbada. Superado un corto resalte la placa tumba mucho.

1st Pitch (40 m, 6 bolts, 4b): Big slab with compact rock at the beginning, a bit lying down. Once overcome a short outcropping the slab lies down a lot.

Largo 2 (35 m, 8 seg., 5a): Nada más salir de la reunión una pancita donde ésta el paso del largo. El resto del largo es una larga placa de buena roca con alguna panza.

2nd Pitch (35 m, 8 bolts, 5a): Just after leaving the belay station there is a little bulge where is the crux of the pitch. The rest of the pitch is a good rock long slab with a few bulges.

En torno a las 7 de la mañana Eduardo Teba y yo ponemos rumbo a la Peña Predicadera, para escalar la vía “Espolón Guanchinfú”.

Around 7am Eduardo Teba and me headed to Peña Predicadera, to rock climb the route “Espolón Guanchinfú” (Guanchinfú Buttress).

Reseña / Route:

Largo 1 (30 m, 8 seg., 4c): Empezamos por la variante, que está más cerca del comienzo de la vía Directa Eccos, superando unos muros con buenas presas, hasta coincidir con la primera reunión.

1st Pitch (30 m, 8 bolts, 4c): We started from the diversión start, which is near the route “Directa Eccos”, the route goes over walls with good holds, it links with the original one on the 1st belay station.

Largo 2 (30 m, 5 seg., 4b): Seguir por una amplia placa y un muro separados por una zona intermedia más tumbada.

2nd Pitch (30 m, 5 bolts, 4b): It continues on a wide slab and a wall separated by a more lying down intermediate área.

Largo 3 (30 m, 5 seg., 4b): Travesía ascendente hacia la izquierda. Reunión a la izquierda, después de pasar la torrentera.

Como iba a ser un gran soleado día, mi padre Eduardo Teba y un servidor, pusimos rumbo a la Peña Predicadera con la idea de escalar la vía Afrodita, vía de 165 metros repartidos en cinco largos, abierta por Sueño Vertical.

As It was going to be a great sunny day, my dad Eduardo and me headed to Peña La Predicadera, to climb the Afrodita route, an 165 meters route divided in 5 pitches, opened by the guys from Sueño Vertical (Vertical Dream).

Reseña / Route:

Largo 1 (35 metros, V/V+): Ascendemos por la chimenea con algún paso aislado que con algún paso que hay que buscarlo. Al final, se sale de la canal y se asciende por el muro de la derecha.
1st Pitch  (35 meters, V/V+):  the route goes in a chimney with some parts in which the holds are not easy to find, after the grooveit carry on going up on the wall at the right.

Largo 2 (25 metros, V): Salida fina, que bien podría ser V+, luego continua recto.

2nd Pitch (25 meters, V): Hard start that it could be V+, afterwards it goes straight.

Largo 3 (35 metros, IV/IV+):  Introducirse de nuevo en la canal y ascender casi horizontalmente. Pasado un estrechamiento se sube un poco para llegar a la reunión, en una amplia repisa.

3rd Pitch (35 meters, IV/IV+): The route goes into another chimney and it ascends almost horizontally, after a narrowing it goes up a little bit, until it reaches a ledge where the belay station is.

Largo 4 (35 metros, V/V+): Sube por el espolón, habiendo un par de pasos algo finos, en el tramo final hay un pequeño desplome que se supera bien gracias a las buenas presas que tiene.

4th Pitch (35 meters, V/V+): It goes up on a buttress, there are a few hard parts, at the end there is an overhang, but there are good holds to climb it easily.

Largo 5 (35 metros 6a+/V-A0): Empieza con un pequeño desplome sobre la reunión, es el paso difícil de la vía, pero no es obligado. Se sube por un bonito y mantenido espolón tras el que llegaremos a una repisa. Aquí se une con la Jabalí Errante, treparemos un pequeño muro para llegar a la reunión.

5th Pitch (35 meters 6a+/V-A0): It begins on a small overhang just over the belay station, it is the “crux” of the route, but it can be aid climbed. Afterwards it ascends on a nice and sustained buttress that ends on a ledge, at that point it links with “El Jabalí Errante” route ( The Wandering Bear), it shares with it the last wall before the belay station.
